Mrs B, our C.R.E (Christian Religious Education) teacher was kind enough to bring along some food for us all to enjoy in the second week of term four. She wanted to show us what food they ate back in the time when Jesus was alive. Some of it we already knew quite well, some was new to us! We liked most of it and were brave enough to give it all a taste! Thanks D & A for taking the photos and thanks Mrs Brasell for being so kind and thoughtful.

Dear Room 5 Allenton School community,
I am very disappointed in whoever the people are who have been leaving rude comments about others. I have had to delete several inappropriate comments. At this point I would like to remind everyone leaving comments that there is guidelines on the blog of what type of names and comments are acceptable. This is not a good way to start the holidays. A lot of time and effort goes into making this cool blog for the Room 5 children, parents and caregivers. If the negative comments continue I will be left with no choice but to remove the blog altogether! :-( Yours grumpily, Mr H We chose a journal with Instruction activities and had to follow the steps to make things with a buddy. Once we had finished them they looked really cool and most of them worked too! not all the activities were easy some were really tricky! - Sophie, Piper & Aleesha
This week Room 5 made Putiputi (flowers made out of flax) for Māori Language Week. Sorry there are not more photos of us making them but everyone was very busy! Room 5, they look awesome and even though they were really tricky to make Jules and I were impressed with your patience and effort! I hope you gave your first one as a gift!
Thanks to all the people who have been looking at our photos and leaving comments. It makes it all worthwhile when you read the awesome comments! check out our Room Five News Videos! (they are best to watch with headphones on)
